John, I am not familiar with Mercedes, as far as the B class.

I am going for a broad range of type of boat, you are going for brand. Entry level into a brand

Walter,
You also may want to take a trip over to BOC and read some of the impressions of this boat there. One of the members was invited by Bayliner to the unveiling in Florida a few months ago, he came back with some glowing, propaganda fueled reviews. Since then, they have started to show up in show rooms and boat shows, and leaving A LOT to be desired. Not too bad for the money, but some of the quality points are sketchy, and most everyone thinks it is way under powered with the only option being the 60 hp OB.

Thats the perfect example of an entry level boat. 16ft bowrider, with a 60hp motor.

Talk about being under powered. The boat weighs NOTHING. That boat is perfect for lakes and thats about it. Not heavy enough or worthy enough to handle the south shore of long island..Thats just IMHO...

My 17footer has a 140 sitting on the back, and its a older model boat.
