Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone has a source for a Carver parts dealer who knows these boats well and can get what I need with minimal effort. I called the most local dealer today in NH, and they did not know what I wanted.
Looking for small items - interior door latches, exterior power inlet door latch, aft surround round plastic covers, stern Carver symbol lettering.
Thanks.

That might be a challenge, VT. Finding small parts from the factory on an 11 year old boat can be troublesome. Perhaps looking for the generic version of some of the parts - they were likely made by a marine manufacturer who makes them for other companies also. But wait a bit - lets see what some of the other ROs have to say about your predicament...

all those parts except the carver logo are not unique to carver and afre from non carver sources. The trick is finding which one. There is usually a maker name on each.

Boatfix has a lot of them.

Finding a dealer (current) that has knowledge of older Carver boats is going to be difficult as after the bankrupcy, they pretty much let them all languish.

On several instances I have called Carver and spoke to a man named Rich Brown. He has always been able to look into their archives and tell me who the parts manufacturer was. He will go to great lengths to help you out.

Over the years I have found every part i needed. Carver did seem to use some small suppliers and parts not commonly sold at boat stores but It has all been available with searching, sometimes a lot of searching. Further compounding the problem is that these companies dont like to sell retail and their distributors dont care about small orders. I wish I had kept a list.

There is a place in South East Wisconsin (Franklin) called Kendor Marine. They purposely buy up parts from distributors going out of business or old supplies of things from boat builders etc. They have a huge warehouse full of things you can't seem to find anywhere. Any time I can't find what I am looking for, they seem to have it. Nice people and very knowledgeable. Do a Google search for Kendor Marine and it should be at the top. Its crazy the stuff they have there, including lettering and striping of odd colors etc.

Thanks for the help everyone, Kendor Marine is at the top of my list of places to check, and will also plan on getting more info on the stuff needed while at the boat this weekend.
Have a great weekend boating!

i've had good luck with carver too. they'll look up the mfg, give you the part number, and the mfg phone number.
