This project is officially underway. Here is the latest scoop:
"Status of traffic changes:
1. There may be one lane traffic control at times from the hours of 7am to 3pm. These will be listed in the 2 week look ahead below. Flagmen will be present for this.
2. We will need to stop vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic for 10 minutes +/- to allow the Contractor to initially install the 48" pile steel casings (85' tall) and re-bar cages (110' tall) due to safety concerns. Emergency traffic will be allowed to pass. Flagmen will be present for this.
2 week look ahead:
June 22 week:
1. Pothole for the sewer line at the north end of the bridge.
2. Install area signs
3. Clear and Grub [ed. this is contractor talk for cleaning the area for construction]
June 29 week:
1. Grading for Bethel Island detour
2. Grading for Wells Rd detour
3. Install drainage structure #1 .
July 6 week:
1. Start trestle work on the D'Anna side.
