A friend of mine runs a marina down south that was acquired by Safe Harbor earlier this year. It was a well-run, well-liked marina before SH arrived and their corporate culture with single property acquisitions appears to be one where they wish to build on what is working well and what has made a marina successful and well-liked, personnel included. So based on that I would expect a LOT of changes at Haverstraw. In all of my travels up and down the east coast and beyond I have rarely come across a large marina that could benefit more from deep pockets and wholesale changes more than Haverstraw. And Safe Harbor appears to show up with an immediate cash infusion which Haverstraw doesn't appear to have seen, at least in any way that has meaningfully improved the (in my opinion poor) customer experience in years, perhaps decades.
It will be interesting to see how pricing is affected in some of their regions down the road where they are scooping up multiple marinas.
