I have a 04 2665 and I can't find more than one bilge pump and it's under the front of the motor. Could it be that there is only one pump?

Yes believe it or not there is only one bilge pump that came from the factory! I placed a second one in the engine compartment on the other side and a little higher then the original one

Hay Sandy
Glad to see your still around. I'm Yanmmar from the old Forum hope, do you still have your 2665 and all is well? If you could please post some pictures of your second pump installation, it would save me a lot of guess work.
I can't believe that a NMMA certified boat had no bilge pump redundancy. Maybe the 2665 was built with foam so it won't sink?
An article in Lifelines spring issue covered bilge pump failure was reason for some insurers to deny a sink claim. After checking with Progressive insurance, it was confirmed true. That means any mechanical breakdown like wiring, battery, hoses, baffles through the haul fittings and a host of others. The article went on to say that 20 percent of claims are caused by mechanical breakdown. Needless to say, I am worried. Paul

Hey Paul, good to see you on here as well. Whish I would have checked this before tonight as I was on the boat today. Hopefully get a chance next weekend because after that I am away for a little while.
Yes still have the boat and still very happy with it. It does amaze me that Regal builds a great boat but cuts corners in a few vital areas as well as some not as vital.

Thanks Sandy.
The following is the response from NMMA:

Bilge pumps are not required on boats. There are standards only for
construction and installation if they are installed in boats.
