Block Island Race Week

This event happens June 21-26 with 180 sailboats. It's occurs every other year. We were planning on going over to Block the Friday before. Wonder what the chances are to get a mooring then?

As a Fathers Day gift every year, my wife and son and I go across. Fathers Day seems to usually coincide with race week every two years. It seems like most of the race teams have been there for the week preceding that weekend, But it seems like they take up more room at Paynes and Boat Basin than moorings.

We will be at Paynes, come over and see us again if you get the chance (different boat same name)

Thanks Dan - Trying to gauge what the pond will be like during that week. The restaurants will be jammed for sure. We are meeting a J-42 from the Cape with a bunch of people, and wish a mooring. We can buzz across on Friday 5-19 (weather dependent) in hopes for a mooring - the J would prefer a mooring vs anchor out.

We have plans for a picnic on the beach - you are most welcome to join us. We will come see you otherwise. Paul
