Blower advice...please

After several years of sailing, I bought a restored 1958 Chris-Craft Seaskiff with a Chrysler inboard motor. So this admitted powerboat novice has a blower question. I know I need to run the blower for at least 4 minutes before turning over the engine and for a little while after turning off the engine. What about during the time I am running the boat out on the open water -- do I still continue to run the blower during that time, as well?
