I am planning on attending on the 21st. I Have not experienced this by boat in the past. Do you have any idea on where the best position to anchor would be?

Is that just the Blue Angels from 11 to 1pm, or is that every type of plane practicing then, with the Blue Angels toward the end? And, is the same practice repeated at 2-3 p.m., or are those different planes? Bascially, I'm trying to find out when the actual Blue Angels are in the air.... not the guy doing the wing walk on the bi-plane, and all that other stuff. Same question for Wednesday....when are the blue angels in the air?

Any recommended places to anchor?

It is ONLY Blue Angels, this is for the Naval Academy comencement ceremony for the new graduation class.
 
I mentioned about them arriving at 11, however they are already in the area for the air show at Andrews the previous weekend, so they might not show up for REAL practice till between 1 an 2pm. When they fly in from somewhere else they make their presence known, however as said they will already be here.
 
If you can make it go! A few year ago we were in Solomon's Island and stumbled across an air show. It was a great surprise to learn up next were the Blue Angels.

Watched them from the Red River in Shreveport last Sunday. They were awesome.
 
Saw them quite a few years ago from the water. Perhaps Pascal will be in the right place at the right time, if he does come up the bay!
 
We have gone on the practice day the past 5 years. The always arrive and do their fly overs and sight/distance runs around 11 and then go back to refuel. The practice show begins around 2 and runs to about 4. Seeing them at an air show when they are hundreds of yards away from you is no comparison to watching them fly right over your heads. The manuvers their support ship does is worth waiting for. Great time.
 
I went to the show yesterday and got there early enough to get a mouring in front of the yacht club. The weather worked out and the show was awesome. When we arrived in Annapolis, about 9am, there were only about a dozen boats or so anchored at the anchorage near the academy. We then found a mouring and stayed till the show was over. When we exited the harbor I was amazed at how many boats were on the hook. I would guess 500 or so. It was more of a show getting out of the harbor than the actual show. It was a great experience and plan on doing it again every year that I can.

Was home and the show seemed shorter than normal. Many boats left our creek headed for Annapolis. Glad to hear you had a good show, I think I was pulling my oyster grow pots when all 6 came over in a very tight formation.
The dog said he was glad this was over for another yr!!
