It's all about the labor. I knew a guy who did it do his 20ft fishing charter boat, roughly every other year. Wraps were an off season occupation, so hard to compare cost wise.
The vinyl you can get is similar to what you might be doing graphics with. You can get a good ten years out of the good stuff there. For a hull, lets conservatively say you should be able to get 5 years-ish
Unfortunately labor is not cheap, I bet I'd have to pay someone minimum $2K to do my 48 from the gunn'l down if a shopped a bit. It's large, but not so many creases and such. I bet initial quotes a much higher, not many doing it and a bit of a risk.
I'm hopeful this gets more mainstream. Lots of colors out there!
