Boat Furniture

Great job Niles! The floor and furniture look fantastic!

Thanks. Same guys, I dealt with David.

I hear hardwood is out and barrel chairs on mauve carpet is making a comeback. Looks great, but your timing may be a bit off.

Look for 3/4 furniture. We went with Flexsteel but they are pricey! RV is the way to go.

Nice touch Niles. I am sure the admiral and you will get a lot of compliments on those. They fit nicely in your salon area. And the hardwood looks great. My only reservation is I would have to think about how I would prevent the furniture from leaving marks on that beautiful floor from moving (either for access below, or in rough seas). Rubber feet might be a consideration...

Dock'ed, I got some rubber pads yesterday and will see how they work (stay on). They definitely stop the sliding. I think I am going to have to secure this chair while underway.

Where is your home port? We are doing the west end this summer but I think the furthest west we will get is Toledo Beach before we turn and head home via the Canadian ports.

Thanks
Niles

Don, I will. We are leaving Ashtabula on 7/9. I would guess 17th - 18th.

We also looked at sofabeds from Jennifer Convertibles. Be aware that one of the reasons that they may be so inexpensive for the fabric sofas is that they don't cover both sides of the seat cushions. You can't flip them if they're getting dirty or worn.

Flex Steel is a nice product, but the lead times are so long that you'll miss out on boating season.

That's very possible. We are headed to Cedar Pointe on the 19th - 23rd. I'll likely be getting her ready for the trip and for sure will stay overnight at the boat on Saturday.

Look for us in dock 267. Take a right immediately beyond the hoist wells and we're about 10-12 docks from the end, on the starboard side. I stern in so you won't be able to view the name (pics are in the Carver forum, on page 2, NOV posting to help you recognize her). Look for the red OSU flag which is usually flying on the pulpit. FYI - the slip we share the dock with is vacant this year (#268). Should not be a problem to tie off and plug in for a visit.
