I am interested in purchasing a used fiberglass hull boat which has a little damage to the outer layer of the hull. There is a chip or plug which is about 1/8th of an inch deep and about the diameter of a quarter. I gave the boat a test drive the other day and the plug seems to be saturated with water after a post inspection. I have a limited knowledge of the fiberglass hull and need to know if this could be a future problem.
