My boat sold today.. To a member of this forum! I hated to see her go but I'm really looking forward to moving up. Such a strange relationship we have with our boats.

Congrats
What did you have and what are you looking at?
Good luck!

Which years were the 355 built Bobby? What do you like about the Carver 355?
I have come to the realization that I can't sell my boat.
This season started off late at one point I wasn't sure there would even be a this season!
I have done more improvements and clean up work this year then the last 3 years combined.

I think the issue is that no one is willing to pay the price you want. The boat sounds like a winner with everything in tip top shape but there are many other boats out there in good condition with (less) upgrades selling for much less.

The one I'm dealing on is a 1998. Not as new as I wanted but we feel in love with the lay out and the price is right. I like the lay outs of the carvers, this one has a full bed in the front as well as a bunk. Ive looked at a lot of boats (mostly on the Internet) and almost everytime I find myself looking at carvers more than others.

My offer was accepted on the carver. Survey Monday morning. Wish me luck!

Actually it's a combination of the economy and me not really comitted to selling something I have so much work into.

Good luck and best wishes on the Carver 355 Bobby. I just checked the 355 out on Yachtworld nice looking boat.

Thanks Bill. I sure hope we like it. I believe it's the perfect boat for us in this stage of our lives. 5 year old and a 11 year old. We needed more room.

Update! We settled on price and did survey on Monday. All went well, had a few issues like fridge won't cool, aft AC kept shutting down with HHH code, ice maker not producing ice and needs new cutlass bearings. Had a whine when in reverse and survey said shafts had movements. Current owner is going to repair fridge and AC and I will handle the rest per my agreement.

Been real happy with broker and surveyor. 2nd time I have used surveyor. Really impressed with him.

Should have boat with in the next week or two once repairs are complete by current owner.
