Anyone have any experience as far as owning a boat with a partner?( no not that kind of partner).
I am looking for info on registration and insurance and basically how it worked out.

If you are going to be doing it with a friend...They won't be a friend for long...

It would be easier to find a guy you don't like......and give him your boat.

I have 3 partners, the Admiral, the Bank, and the Government who gives me back a couple bucks that I pay the Bank in finance charges.

I did it quite a few years ago with a very good friend who wasn't sure she wanted to own a boat. We kept it for 2 years until she decided she wanted her own and then I bought out her half. It worked well for us because our working schedules were opposite each other's and on weekends I was on my larger boat. We're still the best of friends but this was an unusual situation that worked for us. I don't know of anyone else it worked for!

Run and dont look back..To think of it that was the advice I was given when I got married...Oh well atleast that worked out...Partnerships dont work with boats.

Ive done it now for 2 years. It has worked out great for both of us. Flexibility and mutual respect is the key

I'm not sure about mutual respect but you will definitly need flexibility.....( if your partner bends you over !!! )..............:) :) :)
