Boat pic on Mobile bay Fairhope,Al ( not my pic or boat)

Beautiful picture.

Do you know if that was from a professional photographer?

Came to me in a FB post. I put his name and FB group at the top. It was a open group on fb.

Take a look for John Kendall also...local guy in my area, he actually taught art at several local elementary schools for many years...long enough that the members of Aerosmith were in his class, and both my sons also learned from him many years later. He just retired from teaching a few years back.

I've had the pleasure of meeting him several times, he's as eccentric as they come and spectacularly talented!

oh Wow. Very Nice works. He has some of San Francisco too.
Over the past 15 years, we have added several pieces of art to our home. One is a Bronze casting made using the "lost wax" process. This particular artist carves a sculpture using wood burl. He creates the form using lost wax, then make the casting. The piece we got is entitled "Sunrise". The mane of the lion has the burl texture. This artist is a bit eccentric too. Aren't they all?

I got the impression that the one Bill posted was a real photo.

probably a bit enhanced which is fine with me. I really like it

My only quibble is that if you look around the flag and the masts, the sky effect is blurred. Perhaps on purpose? Maybe
Either way, I still like it. I'm not sure Ty Evans is the photographer, but I will look more. I'm thinking if it was a professional, it would be signed

Great photo! -The State of Alabama flag is nicely flying. It is sure to get some snowflakes' panties twisted, as it features the Saint Andrews Cross, which is a cross of definace. Florida's flag is identical, except it also has a state seal in the center of the cross.

On the fb post there are a couple of othere shots using a different lens filter and different angle. I would assume he or someone picked the 3 they liked best to post.

Got it, but no question there is editing on this pic. Don't get me wrong, editing can be good. I'm not opposed.

look at the flag - dead give away

Classic Biloxi Schooner. Before internal combustion engines, these were used as Shrimp Trawlers, Oyster Boats and general cargo transport in the Mississippi Sound and coastal waters of the Northern Gulf. Later when engines became the rage, the old schooners were stripped of most of the rigging and continued to be used as power vessels. There are a few old oyster luggers still in service that started life as a Schooner. The Maritime Museum in Biloxi owns and operates two fully rigged, all wood Biloxi Schooners, that are USCG Certified to carry passengers for hire. Best $20 you will ever spend for an afternoon day sail.
