I have owned my Carver 325 for only 6 months (and it has been in storage for the last two months), but I have made several "boat improvement" projects.
Actually, all of the projects are still in a state of change, meaning that I am likely to continue on with the projects a bit more. In other words - these projects are never finished.
Project 1, Radar Arch:
Project 2, Stereo System (Phase 1):
(I am going to do a lot more with this next season).
Project 3, Wheel Hub:
(The Carver logo was stolen off the boat just before we accepted delivery, so I made one out of Bubinga).
Prorect 4, New Doors:
(The original doors were just plywood, kinda cheezy for a Carver).
Project 5, Lighting:
(I replaced the original weathered outside lights with chrome replacements).
Project 5b, LED Replacement Lights.
(These are for the inside courtesy lights)
Project 5c, Dimmer switch for the courtesy lights and outside switch.
(Originally the only way to turn the outside lights on or off was from the helm, now I can also turn them on and off from the cabin).
Project 6, Upgraded tank level monitors.
(I can monitor both fuel tanks, both water tanks, the holding tank, and even the deodorant tank at the Crown Electric Head).
Proj 7, New screen for hatch.
(This is one of those hatches that one end is a screen and the other end is a blank out).
Proj 8, Helm electronics upgrade.
(Includes a RayMarine C-80 with GPS Chartplotter and Radar, and a ICOM 504 VHF radio - so far)
I have been quite busy with all of these projects, and I am currently assembling several more for the next season.
