Boat Shoes with Arch Support

Scott - For the most part, I've found the Crocs not to be slippery - however, there have been times when I have slipped. Although, now that I think about it, my slip might have been after I had already worn them in. For only $30 bucks a pair, it's worth to give them a try....

You may be pleasantly surprised.

For PF I have found that stretching exercises are very important to making it go away. It might take 6 months. Find a fence or building, put your hands on it and back off with your feet. Try to push it over stretching the tendon at the heel. Also I wear Top Sider Billfish with a 3/4 leather insole from Walgreens.

Got PF in both feet, being that I work in NYC, I walk a mile each way in dress shoes; after 10 years the feet are shot. This thread helps a ton, glad I'm not the only one crawling to the bathroom in the middle of the night from the foot pain. Met a guy today that swears by Crocs. Any suggestions for good dress shoes?

Thanks guys, I do regulalry stretch my calves and feet. My wife is also a PT. My feet feel pretty good now, I just don't want a relapse with the summer months.

Doc, do yuo wear the top sidrs withotu socks? SOme of the inserst really smell after wearing without socks. Others don't. I pan to try a pair of the new crodcs and maybe the OTB shoes as well. Hwo did the sizes run on the OTB's? I wear a 9.5Wide New Balance and a 10W rickport.

Scott,

With low cut ankle socks 99% of the time. The Billfish Sperry ($75-$100) is three eyelet, has a very good arch support and has a full leather insole to absorb and disapate moisture. I have some Crocs and wear them without socks, but they make my PF hurt if I wear them too long plus when they get a little wear lots of dirt gets into the pores on the bottom leaving tracks across the boat.
