How's my slip doing?

The wife and I are going to look at about 8 boats around Baltimore this weekend and will hopefully be making an offer on something by mid next week. I hope there's a slip left with more than 18" of water.

We've narrowed it down to the Cruisers 3375 and Rinker 340/342. We've seen a handfull around the tri-state area, but there are a ton of the 3375's around Baltimore.

Wish me luck,
MJK

The offer is in! It's actually a Repo, but it just came in and it's in great shape. I'm not sure if the bank will take the offer, but I think it's reasonable.

Funny thing is we looked at about 8 boats and were just finished looking at the last boat on the list and were pulling out of the marina. As I turn down one of the roads leading to the marina a huge (to me) boat is coming on a trailer so I pull in a driveway to let him past. As it passes I see Cruisers Yachts 3372 on the side so I followed it back to the marina. The yard manager said it was for sale so I called the broker who had already left and had him come back. He didn't even know it was coming in. We looked it over and it actually had everything we were looking for and unable to find, so we made an offer.

I'm hoping to hear back sometime this week with an acceptance. It was a 2003, which is newer than we were looking, but my budget is for a 2000, so we'll see what happens.

The bank countered with a pretty high number ($20k over my offer). They basicly countered at NADA low retail. I upped my ante by $5k and said that was my final offer for budget reasons. I also have an alternate boat lined up if this falls through that is within my budget and in great shape, just a 2000 vs. 2003.

We'll see what happens.

That bank must be clueless as to the state of the boat market and the economy. They will end up holding on to it and paying expenses until it is worth less than what you offered.

Too bad you don't work for the bank.

They are trying to get as much as they can. Perhaps it's standard proceedure to counter at low NADA. At least they didn't counter offer based yachtworld-broker prices.

The only numbers I'm interested in are mine. Hopefully they'll bend or they may have to bend further next year if it doesn't move now.

Hang in there MJK that boat probably is not going anywhere too quick...... I went to MI and made an offer over the weekend and what I offered was very fair, the guy and his consignment broker said they would get back to me in about a week .
He called twice already and left messages one before I even got home on tuesday.
I am going to let him sweat it out for a few more days his boat won't sell to quick in this market and the market is flooded with what I am looking for .
Good luck and don't jump too fast I hope it works out well for you, I too know the feeling of bieng boatless again.

New Ship! What's headed your way?

We are in the mist of purchasing a Cruisers 3372. I have a post going in the Cruisers section of the site. Survey is lined up for Tuesday.

Best of luck with the new ride, post some pics when you get a minute.

King - What slip are you going to out that in?

We're not sure yet. After the results of the survey I am going to square away with the marnina. I already spoke with them and they said they may have a few slips still on G. Does anyone know of a slip on the G dock that I would fit. It's 33' with an 11' 8" beam and 3' draft.

I'm hoping to see you guys soon!

King5899, Bought a 02 black thunder 460 ec , we got it quite alot cheaper than the asking price with some back and forth offers.
The market is full of the type of boats we were looking at found many private owners willing to make deals not so much for brookers and dealers.
Wishing you the best of luck with your cruisers 3372 ( real nice boat by the way ) glad to hear you found one you like we too know what it is like bieng boatless for awhile and had downsized for a few years to save some cash for the new boat , now we are looking forward to get back on the water.

Once again good luck with your new ship :) .....This is the last post for me here , too much gets lost in the tanslation over the computer and pissing people off was never my intention. But bieng quoted and called a troll and cut down by a wise as$ lawyer and a few in his little click has become enough fo me. I can't get the hang of the translation to the computer , perhaps he can't either with his comments " like the aux is not the real coast guard and his foolish warnings about local law enforcemet is out to get you .
I served n the usmc for years and am proud to be part of the uscg-aux , lots of vets and retired law enfocement in there plus regular everyday good people (real good people) who volenteer there time for the safty and good of boaters in general all for free ,just had to say that cause it bugged me to hear such nonsense, but I was warned about the click in the HRCC from many local boaters and sadly they were right ...Thats it for me I am out .

Contracts are in the mail. We finally came to an agreement on a 2003 Cruisers 3372. It was a long process that's detailed in the Crusiers section of the forum. We ended up buying a Repo in AS-IS condition. AS-IS is actually pretty nice. It needs a little work to get going in the hudson, and has an issue I need to monitor, but all in all we accounted for all the AS-IS issues in the price. I feel it's a great price based on everything else we looked at, plus it has the perfect layout and options.

Where on the G-Dock is an open slip? We are going down there tomorrow to work out the details with SPBM for delivery and a slip.

It would be nice to be back on the water! See you soon.

Have fun. I loved looking at all sorts of boats, but I wore my wife out.

Congrats on the boat.

Not much on G dock left if any for that size boat.

If I was not so upside down in our boat I would be buying a new(er) boat ourselves.

Note to self: Never buy a brand new boat again.
