I would like to have a cushion made for my foredeck in a convenient space that is approximately 5.5'/3'. Something that will snap in and out of place. I don't want to use a Perino's or AMC because of the extra cost of them having to do a "house call". Someone who does this on the side from their home would be preferred.

Thanks

There is a guy who advertises on LI craigslist that is very good. I have used him for several repairs and Bobby has as well. He works out of his house in Bayshore just north of union blvd. I will look and see if he is on there today. I may have his number. The guy was pretty fast too.

Ive called that guy several times and e-mailed as well and never once got a call back or e-mail back

I've used him a few times and never had a problem. always called the number early in the morning though and never emailed. my bridge enclosure was made by someone else and after a couple years all the stitching just rotted out. the canvas and eisenglass were still in great shape. He took apart the enlclosure and restitched the whole thing. I like his work and his prices were great.

I dont know why, but I find many business associated with the boating unreliable. if you dropped your car off for service and it wasnt done that day you'd be pissed. Yet how many times have we waited for a marine service person who just decides to come another day?

Bill, thanks. That fellow left his business cards recently on all the boats on A dock in Bay Shore. Probably elsewhere as well. He was the first one I called, this past Saturday AM. Also again on Monday. No response. So it dawned on me to check with my winter yard, LaSala's in Copiague and as I hoped, Kathy had a recommendation for someone who came down last night and priced my cushion. It measures 5'8"x3' with 4 snaps on each side with 2" thick semi-firm foam. He is also making 4 60" straps so that I can tie down a kayak in that spot on the foredeck. $325.
