Well since Billy is saying how sucky Feb is ...
LEts think of what upgrades we want to do ...

My dream is still a hydraulic platform. But that dram has sailed. It became a back up generator for the house that has run ZERO times. Yea im hoping for another Dooms day sorry. only way ill appreciate what I pissed away .

anyway back on task.... What are the upgrades looking like ? I know RODGER rb2@gr5t CMI and FRANK over at AMC would love to help out. Make sure u save some money for Dean rb2@gr5t WAVES AND WHEELS ... Boat has to look pretty with all new the toys !

I have two brand new VHFs to be installed. Current VHF will be moved to the cabin. Along with that is a new to be Jensen stereo that I purchased from ALK. With that being said, I have two new 8ft VHF antennas to be installed, along with an AM/FM 8ft antenna to be installed.

I also have a Lowarance Elite 7 GPS chart plotter I am going to hook up

Just purchased a new Lewmar windlass that needs to be installed.

I have to hook up a new hour meter, as well as redo some wiring at the dash. A couple of things are run into the same circuit that I do not like and they will be put on their own.

I have to remove and replace the hull stripes, I was able to get factory old stock, so that's a plus.

I think its it for now. I have to find my original list from last summer, but its a good start.

Mostly mechanicals that I want to ensure are done but adding a hard top rocket launcher, collapsable outrigger poles so I can lower them and fuel bladder and aux fuel fill so I can easily round trip the Hudson. Plus lots of fishing gear.

Right now I'm color coding the wires and rewiring batteries in the engine room. I am going to add three batteries in parallel, as a house bank, to service the generator, lighting, heads, pumps etc... The engine room electric was a mess, much like the electric in most of the boat. Getting there though. I hope to be able to get it together enough to cruise the bay this year.

All new canvas from AMC.
New combing pads.
New satellite tv mount.

I think I should upgrade the whole boat to a bigger one.

I all want to do is add diesel fuel and get the season started.

I can't imagine what that would be. lol

Brian, Any bigger and ull need all of D dock !

Unless of course u want a crew to keep ur beer inventory full. Then im in .

I want speed, just me and D, want IPS 40ish or so in size, like the sport coupes. Smaller beam is needed, hence the south shore problems with slips, no flybridge so I don't have to deal with bridges, and did I mention speed ? LOL
Also, must have a washer and dryer, never live without that again .

Would love to put a hardtop on my 99' silverton 351. I've never seen one but would Love it. Any ideas on how much the bridge would run approx ? I need all new canvas but rethinking this now? Hardtop would only then call for curtain drops ....

Katie,
rough numbers, 6k for the top, 4k or so for new canvas

Much more for top! Your going based on your hardtop you did 10 years ago. I priced a hardtop for my boat and it was closer to $10K not including canvas. Also I think it depends on supports you may have, like your old boat tied into the arch. if no arch, then you need additional metal supports.

I got a big list this year.

New canvas, blue LED underwater lights, blue led lights going up the steps to bridge, striped bow cushions and...wait for it.. new sanitation lines.

Wheww

Have fun with the sanitation lines. We did that a few years ago.... UGH !

Rob

Try to replace as much of the sanitation hose with PVC as you can. Much cheaper and lasts forever.

My list includes cleaning up boat, listing boat and house for sale, downsizing boat, and moving to lakeside home.
