What is the best "soap-cleaner" to use when washing a boat. I use Buff Magic and Pro Polish at the beginning and end of the season, but I'm not sure what is best to use when washing the boat weekly. I'm not sure using one of the soaps with wax in it is best. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks...

We don't have any specific brand. My wife and I just go to a discount store and
find a good environmentally safe boat specific soap.
We have found out that the environmentally safe boat soaps do not remove the
wax like some car wash soaps do.
I do know that I will never use the West Marine boat soap that is pink in color.
I used it on my old boat and the pink color got into some of the faded gel coat
and I had to work my a$$ off to get it back to normal color.

We started using Ultra Pine was n wax boat soap. We found it last year at the local formula dealer and he used it on his boat. Since then that is all we use and now others on the dock are using the same thing. It is not supposed to remove the wax on the boat. It cleans well and even though it is expensive you really only need a capful in a bucket.

How about Woody Wax (wash and wax) OK to use after Pro Polish?

ultra pine or woody wash followed by woody wax on the deck.

Turtle Wax Jet Wash n Wax. Good on waxed gelcoat and isinglass! Rinse well and hand dry.

OrPine Boat Soap, the green one with wax in it.

I second OrPine. Good for the cars too.

Ivory liquid soap. Easy on the hands and wax. Use a soft brush on a pole.
