While replacing the steering cable for the flybridge I almost fell over with what I found. When the hacks at the boatyard replaced the steering cable for the flybridge many years ago when my buddy owned this boat they used hole saws to cut through the transom, ok, outside hole nice & neat. Inside hole a total hack job. They cut 5 or 6 two inch holes through the glass on the inside of the transom to try to get the cable to line up correctly and left the wood exposed so it could rot. Luckily it didn't and after some clean up I was able to repair the mess with some cloth & resin. I mean this was a major case of "what were you thinking!!!!" I have seen some of the other hack work they did on this old baby but this was the worse. Another reason I like to do my own work. Fiberglass work really sucks though!
