People on the dock here were saying a boat ran way aground on Thursday ! 4 sea tow boats couldn't pull him off ? Anyone have real info

Rob

Was that east of the cut......on the north side of the channel ???................BAD spot. :)

Interestingly, I can't see any identification/registration numbers on the bow. Is that another case of, "But Mr. Adjuster, I don't know what happened to my boat. It must have been stolen."? Of course, the shadow of the numbers and the hull number would still be visible. And what happened to whoever was on the boat?

Boats over in SS3 for repairs. Heard someone got hurt. That's never good to hear !

Rob

That was Steve from Blue Water Yacht Club. My Toy from Staten Island. Going through the channel in a 48'sea ray. He was well in the channel and between the buoys when he hit a shoal. Wife got hurt .I heard a dislocated shoulder broken eye socket and some stitches. She ended up in the cabin from the curved bench seat. I heard this second hand. I haven't seen Steve around. I hope his wife is doing ok. Didn't hear if he got hurt or if anyone else was on the boat.

In the channel? Wow, that's not good, I run thru there on plane!
Rob, isn't that where you keep your boat?

Holy cow! I had no idea ! Hope shes ok . Guess I have some calls to make

Rob

I hope all is ok as well.

If someone can get some info on the shoal, that would be great.
Stuff like that needs to get marked!

The water gets pretty shallow up around those last couple of sets of buoys up on the north end of the cut.
I hope everyone recovers.

That sucks, hope his wife is OK and recovers quickly, hat to hear this, makes it even worse when your in the channel.

I went thru there at low tide after aquapalooza with boat loaded with 10 people. I had no issues and I was on plane all the way thru.
Makes you wonder is it one little spot.
Then after that I went down my friends canal and touched coming out of his canal.

The channel has not shoaled in. I saw the boat high and dry and it was clearly out of the channel north of bouy "53".
I hope his wife has a speedy recovery and all is ok.

My best wishes to her for a speedy recovery. My apologies if my observation indicated something underhanded which wasn't. Hope all, boat and owners, will be back on the water soon. Hy
