Is it just me or does anyone else here think it would be completely out of line and place for the guest of a marina member to walk away from his host and about 8 other guests and dock neighbors and pee on the side of another boat, only to discover the he was in full view of two 15 year old girl on board my boat. I was amazed that someone would do this. When he was finish and turn around my daughter and her friend didn't know what to do so they waived to him. My wife called out to him and told him that this was really not cool, he then came over and said he had no idea anyone was on our boat, like this makes a difference how? If he took any longer I would have taken a picture and given it to the marina office and seen if they cared.

I think if you have had so much to drink that a walk to the bathroom is too much of an inconvenience it's time for you to quit drinking. Maybe it's just me? I think of the marina as a family place, if crap like this continues I will either give up boating or I will be looking for a new marina for next season.

Pretty sure that exposing yourself to a minor is a felony and gets you on the registered sex offender list.

Not sure I how I would have handled it, but it does kinda speak to the classy neighborhood up there. Kinda like a Carnival Cruise. Smells like stale beer and reminds me of a dorm room. Hey, neighborhoods change. Sometimes you have to move. Jus' sayin'.

Funny thing Ben I was thinking exactly that, "how would Ben handle this?". I choose not to lay low after all Audrey made her point very clear. My stepping in would not have gone well. I really hope things change around there, the only reason I'm there is because I like the people at the dock and I love my slip and view but there is only so much one can put up with and overlook.

Hank I wish you were there I would have love to have seen your reaction as well. I would like to believe the was a once in a lifetime occurrence but he looked very at ease with what he was doing as if this is a regular activity.

We can solve that if that's the case. There are basic rules that we all need to follow and if they're not then we will go as a group and have our voice heard. My opinion is the first time is a free ride, the second time is not.

Hank I really wish you were there, I have great concerns about this season being we are getting off to such a good start. I glad to see everyone enjoying themselves at the dock but I don't want to feel uncomfortable or as if I'm bothering someone to make enough room for me to pass and get to my boat.

The season is too young for this, top this off with lack of water and I feel like I'm being pushed out.

My Mother always told us, "Class is how you act when you think nobody is watching". This individual surely showed their level of class.

Unfortunately it is not an uncommon sight. It takes place in any marina when alchol is involved and the sun goes down. Usually by "Guest" who have no concern for anybody but their own good time.

If you really want to solve it from a third party perspective, tell the owner of the boat he pissed on. Then sit back with a cold one.

I really think an immediate report to the police would have been appropriate.

What an a$$. Peeing off the end of a finger into the river is one thing (assuming no one really is around and at night) but on another boat is BS. I would have raised hell and if he had anything to say call the cops.

Do they lock the bathrooms at SPM at night-time? [:-yuck]

Not to drag this out but to answer a few questions, It was mid day, no the bathrooms are never locked. I really don't want to make more of this then it is but I really have never seen anything like this in any marina and I have been boating for over 30 years. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but not in front me or my kids.

I have been overall very happy at this marina for many years and I guess it is easy to get caught up in a moment but I just hope there aren't many moments like this in the future.

Face it Dave, there is a lot of trash that walks those docks and pavilions and it isn't going to get any better there.

Riff raff is allowed and no one cares.

Thanks for the pep talk.

There must be something special about the place because we keep coming back for more.

I've never had this happen but have often been frustrated when people at our marina invite "guests" but for some reason don't feel responsible to control their behavior when they act like *******s. I would let the marina management know what happened, they should warn the guilty "host" that they are responsible to control their guests.

I think this is a bit ridiculous Ben. Speak to most members of the Marina and most will agree we all like where we are for similar reasons. Friendly dock mates great location and views. Fairly well maintained grounds, I could keep going on but I think you get the idea. Price is certainly a big factor, if the price was more in line with Haverstraw I think they would loose a lot of business. I believe you get a lot for the money here in fairness there are things I don't like about Haverstraw as well I won't start a list here no need I think it's clear we all have reasons why we stay where we are and still from time to time things will go wrong and we will bitch I'm guilty as charged but this was an unusual case that could have happened anywhere I just hope it doesn't happen again.
