How sad. I'm pretty chicken to boat in rough conditions like that - I guess that's whay I stay safe in the Delta. It sounds like they were pretty experienced, and had a great boat too - I guess they just got sideways to the swells and went over. So sad.

This is really unfortunate. Hopefully this can be a lesson to others to check the forecasts and really think twice about small craft warnings.

A great boat does not mean much, when/if you enter thr harbor incorrectly.

Large swells can form close to the Jaws at HMB, and local experience can be vital.

Although they had their boat berthed there for maybe 3-4 months, word is they only had it out 3-4 times, and weren't that fimilar with local conditions. What a shame...how sad.

My deepest condelences go out to the Families. A tragic loss, no doubt...

Yikes! I too stay in the relative calm of the delta waters. Call me a chicken....but I'm a live one!
