Let me know your secret. I bought a new Chaparral from Sawyer Brothers with a Volvo engine/outdrive (2004) and tried to use Outstanding for service. Sawyer Brothers told me up front that they did not work on Volvo but Skip and Rhonda were right across the street and would take care of it. Not quite. They would not return calls, would not follow through on what they said etc. It got to the point where one of the Sawyer brothers actually had to walk across the street and try to get them to respond and still nothing. And I am not talking warranty work, I'm talking fully paid work, like the 20 hour service. They actually would not schedule, return a call to schedule or even schedule if I stopped in!
Just so you don't get the wrong idea, I'm not a complaining customer. If anything, I give the benefit of the doubt too much. It's not like they ever did anything and there could have been a falling out (no sour grapes, in other words). They just never did anything. I'm amazed they are still in business. Just wanted everyone to hear both sides. I would run, not walk, away from Outstanding. Duffy Creek is just the opposite-responsive, fair-Marsha spent an hour on the phone a few Saturdays ago trying to get an answer from Volvo's technical people for me. I only found then after my experience with Outstanding, but I am thrilled that I did.
