Bottom paint compatibility

I purchased a can of Interlux Micron CSC "self polishing" paint, which I assume means ablative. I just read the directions closer and it says that it is not compatable with "soft bottom paints" and they need to be removed. I currently have a inexpensive ablative paint made by Bluewater on the bottom. If I sand lightly and paint, will it be OK?

I will try to contact interlux but I found this compatability chart and it looks like it might be OK. They don't list my current paint but it seems to work with most.
