Bottom paint coverage

I'm thinking I'm going to paint my boat bottom while on the trailer, I know I will miss large swaths of area where the bunks are, I don't normally get alot of growth, I think I'm in a somewhat brackish area, so I'm thinking I should be ok with missing those swaths, anybody have any thoughts on this?
 
If you are not worried about growth on those spots why are you worried about bottom painting the rest?
 
All you have to do is loosen up the winch give it some slack, jack the boat up on an area thats been painted, slide the trailer foward, paint and boom youre done.

I do it EVERY season with my center console. I have it down to a science
 
If there is already bottom paint there, you will be fine!

Don't bother bottom painting... My boat is already painted and zinced up and almost ready for splash. Buy it and you are good to go.. I will give you the 30 year friendship deal or is it 31 years now... Man we are getting young ;-)
 
I use to use a few 2 by 4 and a floor jack to get paint where the rollers were on the trailer. If you want to borrow my floor jack just let me know
 
Thanks guys, I'm not going to fuss about that area, it is painted from last year and I do use the boat 2 or 3 times a week, since I have a trailer I will play it by ear, I can always haul it out again, I do inspect it constantly so I will report back as the season goes on. Brad, my good buddy, I would love your boat, I know you are meticulous in your care of it but I don't want you to get out of it cause I know you love it so much. I got to get you up to the NYC res. to fish for old times sake. I got a boat up there to use now.
 
I have a question...Im painting the bottom of my boat for the first time... do you paint the props as well???

No. If the boat is an I/O you don't use bottom paint on the drives either. They have special alumicoat paint for that.
Stay away from the grounding block (if it's visible) too.
