Looking, or thinking about looking at a new boat. It's used and has bottom paint.
I'm going to keep it on a lift, and did not want bottom paint.
Never had bottom paint, know vaguely what it is and what it is for, know it is somewhat ugly, but do not know the implications of getting a boat with bottom paint when I do not need it.
Can it be removed without damage to the bottom? Expensive?
If I don't/can't remove, will I have to repaint it regularly?
How should I view having it on a boat when I do not need it -- minor cosmetic issue, big future expense, a non-issue, deal killer?
