A few of you have probably tried the antifouling bottom paint sold specifically for use on inflatables, and found it to be almost worthless. It's not just you, it IS worthless. There is hope, however.
Here's an old cruiser's trick.
Clean and tape the bottom of your infalatable as you normally would to apply bottom paint, then paint a primer coat of ordinary solvent based contact cement as a primer coat. Then apply the regular bottom paint of your choice (Petit Trinidad, Micron Ultra, Proline, whatever) and it sticks like a champ. Now you don't have to mess around with lifting the darn thing out of the water and stowing it every weekend, and can leave it in the water all summer (or all year if you live in San diego like me)
