Does anyone know what brand of antifouling paint carver uses at the factory? My 06 33SS needs some touch ups and i wanted to use the same paint!
Thanks for any help!

Cheers! John

John, according to Carver, they use Sea Hawk brand bottom paint with the specific paint being Monterey 5445 (black)...it's' a water based ablative.....expensive and somewhat hard to find - only have specific dealers.......be sure to mix it very, very well....

If it's ablative, you can use any good quality ablative paint. I;ve had very ggod luck with Pettit Ultima SR, multi-season ablative paint. It was rated as #1 by consumer reports. I switched from Interlux afew boats ago and have been very satisfied.

How do you like the 33SS? One problem I saw was the space between the bed and the cieling in the front.

HI Selby - we love the 33 SS - we have the 2 stateroom option and although a little low have not had any problems bumping my head on the ceiling!

There is one that I may could probably make a deal on. It is a 2005 that was never sold. What is interesting about the boat is that whan it came to the marina sales dock it was one that everyone wanted to look at. One of the marina employees who was cleaning it one day sliped on the swim deck and needed several stitches. Then the next week a fellow was looking at the boat. He had just retired and was looking for a boat. The sales man ask if he would klike a ride? He said yes and I don't know exactly how it happened but he was on the swim deck and fell off hitting his head on the dock and falling into the lake. It took five hours to find him. The problem was np one knew who he was. After his body was found they got his waalet and called his wife who had no ideal he was looking at boats! Anyway the boat just never sold.

Im not so sure about you guys, but I wouldn't be buying a death boat anytime soon....

Kinda scary - I havnt found the platform to be overly slipery. The non skid is faily aggresive - here's a pic

I don't see where it is that slippery either. I guess just bad luck. Is wind a problem pushing the boat around?
