I was reading, not sure if it was here or in a boating mag about some sort of bottom paint removal system. I have a boat bought from FL and it has many many coats of bottom paint that are now flaking off. I want to remove all of the paint back to gelcoat and put 2 coats of good paint on. But what I don't want to do is sand forever.
I read about some gel that is sprayed on and allowed to sit for 20 mins or so and then the bottom paint can be scraped off.
Has anyone heard of this and or had any experience with it? Where can it be purchased? How much do you need for a 36' boat?
