Anyone have a private guy come and bottom paint their boat?

Taking the boat out of storeage Saturday, and looking to get the bottom painted Sunday..

Thanks in advance!

Matt, you're keeping boat at yachtsman's right? Why not use hank & lori from li marine, I think they're doing the service there now

I sent Matt my guy as well.
At $3 a foot he is reasonable!

$3 does that include the prep and paint or is this just labor sounds to good to be true?

Just prep and labor, you supply the paint.
He supplies all painting materials and drop cloths.
On my boat I had him Sand and paint 2 coats for $300.

Dave, I have your guy coming this Sunday to do the bottom. I didnt mention to him about sanding or scraping...

Yeah he sanded for me and used my sander.
He lost his in Sandy.
If you need it let me know.
Only charged me like $60 to sand and I had him sand alot.

I have a few sanders laying around. Id love to give them to him. Seems like a good dude trying to make a few extra bucks..

$3 a foot is a great deal! Dave, can you send me his information as well?

That is a good price. I usually do it myself, but for that price it might not pay for me to go through the hassle if he does a good job.

I have him scheduled Sunday at 10am, Ill report back.

If Dave says he does a good job, thats enough reason for me to use him.

$3 a foot, its a no brainer.

How much did he charge to do your boat? Did he use your paint?

He charged $3 a foot, so $90 total and used my paint...you really can't beat that. I'll definitely use him next year.

That is a good price. I usually do my own, but I'll keep him in mind.
