Bow Hatch Replacement

The hinge on my Bow Hatch broke and I need to replace it. Has anyone done this? If so is it a difficult job or straight forward as it appears to be.It looks like you unscrew all the screws and there will be an inner and outer ring. Is there silicone required for the outer ring?

Tips?

It's a 2004 Maxum 2500SE like the one in this add. Same hatch, 21' from Jim Black and Assoc.

Googling the hatch type, It appears to be a ball and socket joint of some kind. Could you post a pix and show us what exactly broke. If you have the parts I would try to piece it with 5200 or the like. I would be afraid of compromising the integrity of the deck by removing the hatch.

Boat is not near me at the time (stored at Lake Powell) but i can try to get some pics of the broken hinge next week when I go up.
