Bowline Fireworks

On a good day you can easily dink from Haverstraw Marina to Bow-line, but on that evening the area will be filled with larger vessels and a wide array of police boats. I would'nt do it.

You would be a lot more comfortable and safer putting all of you crew on one or two boats and watching from right outside. Unless you have been in before there is some real shallow water issues.
 
Pete thanks for the advise. I have never been there and am kind of shooting blind. Where would be the best area to drop a hook and watch the show ?
 
You can go south about 1/2 mile and hang out right there. Just look for all the other boats.
 
Does anyone know if the Fireworks at Bowline are on for tonite??

Is there a # to call?
 
Just called - the woman said they are having a meeting re: Fireworks at 1:30 PM today. She said to call back after 2:00 PM today. If someone calls, please post the decision here.

Description: Celebrate Independence Day at this annual event along the Hudson River. Music starts at 6pm with Good and Plentie followed by the West Point Jazz Knights. Fireworks begin at 9:30pm. Rain date is July 3, with music beginning at 7:30pm.
 
I just called Haverstraw and was told the fireworks are ON

Don't know if it will change, but I am intending to be there. Be safe on the water!
 
Well I must say that Haverstraw did an excellent job with their fireworks display Thursday night and mother nature contributed with some of her own a little further north. Glad I did not let the weather keep me in the slip as it only rained a little and didn't spoil the evening. The finale was particularly spectacular and the grandkids loved every minute on the boat.
 
The Grand Finale was excellent, although our dog might disagree...
