Anyone know when or if they are this year? I can't find any info every search comes up with either 09 or 10 info even when I enter 2011 in the search.

That works great for me! I believe it was the second last year as well.

Who's up for a raft up? I pretty sure I can can on a few.

I'm in. I also tried to google it and it was almost impossible to find. I couldnt find Nyack's so if anybody knows, I would appreciate that info as well.

It may be a repeat of Memorial Day which sounds good to me.

Vicky found it by doing a google search and yes we are in as well. The first search she did came up with the prior years dates but then success.... 7/2 it is... :--)))

I'm sure we'll be there. Where do they shoot them from? Where's the best spot to get a good view?

Ben the same spot that we were all in for Memorial Day. They shot them from the same area as the watchfires were set ablaze only from a barge on the river side...

Last year they shot them from the land on the south side of the entrance to the pond. You will have a great view from anywhere in the pond or outside the entrance.

Saturday tides are looking good low tide is at 6:40 or is that 7:40 with DLS time either way not a problem. I hope to get an early start. I just restocked the bar Ben so all is well:)

Good!

I hope to spent Fri night on the hook so I'll reserve some space for us. We should make one long raft up this time instead of two.

If I can I will join you on Friday. If you want to make one large raft I recommend going a little further in as not to block the entire pond. I'm up for anything.

Beware of huge raft-ups!

You need lots of anchors (bows & sterns) set properly. You also need to make sure that the boats are lined up in the proper size order.

If you don't, you risk waking up in the middle of the night with a bad situation on your hands. An anchor breaking loose and/or a strong wind can wreak havoc.

Hogan it's your call I'm good with whatever. I just want to have a good time. That said it was kind of cool having the three Trojan side by side. Maybe we can get a Delusion to join us as well.

As for fireworks July 4th, here's what I found:

Sleepy Hollow moved it from Pierson Park to the General Motors property this year, at dusk.

Tarrytown, Irvington and Dobbs Ferry’s fireworks all begin at 9p followed by Ossining at 9:18 and Nyack at 9:20p.

I don't think canoes should be out after dusk...

Well it looks like Peekskill is having fireworks on the 4th as well. Had a hard time finding anything on them this year. So schedule looks like Bear moutain on the 24 June, Haverstraw on the 2nd of July and Peekskill on the 4th.

TGIF I need a break this has been a long week! I'm looking forward to spending the weekend at Bowline and just relaxing. Thurs I'm heading out to the sound for a few days with friends, I think this should be a great week.
