An article in the current "BoatingLife" magazine on pg. 12 caught my eye last night because it reflects dead on what we've been doing. The article said many boaters simply take the boat out a short ways, cut the engine and just drift or drop anchor and do whatever. Exactly what the Admiral and I have been doing this Summer. Crank up the engine, go three miles down to a deserted cove, kill the engine and break out the sandwiches and books to read. So far we've burned 30 gallons and still had relaxing fun. We don't anchor because I've never gotten the anchor to hold so the heck with it.
