When I use a rotary buffer with a foam pad do I use the pad dry or should it be moistened like the sponge pads that come with some paste waxes for autos?

Remove oxidation from fiberglass hull, polish and wax.

Either moisten the pad with some detailer spray or put some compound on the pad as well as the hull surface. Also spend a little money and get a pad brush since a foam pad will load up like a wool pad. Be sure you are working with a compounding pad, the colors of the pads are not standardized, check the progression suggested by the pad manufacturer.
