Bugs at Fire Island

I plan to venture to Sailors Haven perhaps next week and wanted to find out if anyone knows how the bug situation is over there?

Was at Flynns yesterday no bugs

Spent five days there a few weeks ago. Minimal bugs, a few mosquitos at dusk, but that was it.

Kismet Friday, no bugs.
Hemlock Sunday, green flies but not alot and they are very slow!

Green flies were out in full force today. Covered ground to Merrick,
then to Babylon, before returning to dock. 5MPH zones were killer with the bugs, but there was barely a breeze all day.
