Burning Isenglass

I have owned two new Searays, a 1998 270 nad a 2005 320. On both boats, after two years in a 5 month boating season, the isenglass has clouded enough to reduce visability significantly. I am about to replace the front panels with Strataglass. Has anyone else experienced such a short life on their windows?

I agree with you 100% on the 40 mil double polished material. As you would expect, there are other products on the market that compete with Strataglas but the point is select the 40 mil material. Also, keep it polished with one of the over the counter products available at your local marine store.

Boater's World carries it. Do a google search for 303 Aerospace protectant and you should find the product.

I too had this issue on my 2001 310DA Sundancer. I purchased it new and isinglass lasted only two seasons. I had a local canvas shop replace the isinglass with 40 mil isinglass and it's been three seasons and the vision is clear and just like new. I clean with water only and use soft terry cloth towels to dry and apply 210 cleaner about every two weeks. I am extremely pleased with the results.
