Cabin door stuck!

Hey all!!

I have a 2001, 245 SeaRay Weekender. My cabin door has decided to get stuck closed. It appears the rollers attached to the bottom of the door have dislodged. I think the screws have torn out of the door, allowing the rollers and door to shift forward and wedge itself into the framing.

My question is.... how do I remove the door? Does the door (And rollers attached to the door) and track come attached to the hull all come out as one piece? Or does the door and rollers somehow detach from the track somehow?

Any hints tips or tricks would be appreciated. Is this are difficult job to remove the door?

I'm guessing we're talking sliding glass door running on track. If they are anything like I had on my 37C; you had to remove rubber or plastic insert in upper track which will allow you to raise door high enuff so that rollers on bottom will clear lower track.

Yeah, I am talking about the fiberglass door between the cockpit and the cabin. And....

I fixed it!!! I managed to take the plate where the gauges are off, I could reach in And remove the top rail with a Phillips head bit in my 1/4” socket. Open the lower portion under the steering wheel and remove the Screws bottom track. Part of what was binding the door was some screws that come from the below deck storage area. I cut the excess sticking out off. Was able to lift up and push in on the door, so it could roll to the open position. Removed the remaining screws from the top and bottom track. Gentle close the door but not fully, and the tricky part, with the help of a couple of people, I managed to lift of the door High enough to gain access to the screws that hold the door to the roller and sink in slightly larger screws into the door. I didn’t have to remove the door fully, or the helm at all!
Then reverse the process for reinstallion and all was good again!

Super happy not to have the boat tied up at the mechanics, and have full use of everything again!
