I received the following email. RBOC will be issuing a formal Press Release on Tuesday.
"The main revision is a new $5 million loan to the general fund. There are increases for beach erosion, local assistance, and local boating law enforcement.
The Governor is expected to sign the 31 budget bills on Tuesday July 28, and this could include blue-pencil vetoes of a number of expenditures. At that time the final outcome will be known for this budget revision action and Cal Boating's budget.
The bottom line is that it appears that the collective effort to save Cal Boating will preserve the department through another, significant round.
More legislative attention directed at reorganizations and consolidations could occur when the Legislature returns from its summer recess in mid-August.
