Can I wash Dock Line in the Washing Machine/Dryer?

I wanted to put my dock line in the Washer and Dryer, no bleach just regular clothes detergent....Any reason why I shouldn't???? Any special way to do it?

A sign of a true mariner is a snuggle fresh dock line. You'd be surprized how many boaters have non-snuggle fresh dock lines. Usually the same ones with the bird's nest on the cleat.
