Looking to go to Captain's Cove Seaport in Bridgeport, any input? We have a 7 & 4 year old.

We like Captain's Cove because they have free tie up while you walk the small boardwalk. During the day it's great for kids. (as long as the wind isn't blowing from over the sewage treatment plant next door). In the evening this place turns into a wild biker bar and I would not want my kids anywhere nearby. Loud music and drunken merrymaking that spills over onto the docks.

A more wholesome alternative would be Milford or Stratford.

Milford is one of our favorite places but I'm not sure there is much for kids to do. A nice quiet town with plenty of restaurants.

Norwalk is another alternative. There is a decent aquarium there.

I agree with the above about Captain's Cove - fried food and Loud music - not bad with out kids;)

Mark is on the money with Norwalk - the town dock are floaters and should have AC power by now- a real town within a block and the aquarium is a couple of blocks from that

I agree with whats been said. Captains cove is a great place to take kids on a sunday afternoon. They have live miusic outside form 4 to 7. I don't think it's a good over night place with kids, although, I've never stayed over.

I'll second norwalk as a good destination. The aquarium is great for the kids and adults. They also have an Imax movie. The town is a short walk from the town docks and has good food and shops.

How long do you plan on going for?
