I just saw in the Local Notice to Mariners that buoys 86,87,and 88 have been removed for dredging. Have not heard much more about the Inlet.

I heard the Captree Boatsman's association is paying for that dredging at the end of the state channel because it's getting difficult for the party boats to get through that spot. The inlet would be a much bigger project.

Today an 18" runabout ran over the submerged dredge pipe and ripped off his out drive. I guess he did connect the orange buoys with the submerged pipe.

I haven't been to the FI Inlet yet, but I hear it's in pretty bad shape. Today I heard a fishing boat passing GPS way points to a large sailboat so he could transverse the inlet. Sounded like he was sending him way west of the marked channel between two sand bars.

I guess It won't matter...I just found out tomorrow is "Judgement Day" and the world is supposed to come to an end...I thought we had until 12/21/12.

.....I think 12/21/12 is for the people who miss tomorrows judgement day................... :)

The buoys have been moved from where they are dredging. When rounding captree East bound It's almost a straight shot SE once you pass the oyster shack heading towards the inlet.

As far as FI Inlet goes, There was a little shoaling just South of the number 6 buoy...at mid tide I measured 9.2'. From there to the number 4 buoy I measured 10' to 12'.
