Carbon monoxide detector alarm going off

I'm looking for some help figuring out a problem that I am having with my carbon monoxide detector. I seem to charge the batteries, 2 sets of 6-volt T-105's, with my inverter/charger and after about 12 hours of charging, the alarm goes off on my detector. Do these detectors have high voltage alarms like they have low voltage alarms. I have been charging my batteries this way for a couple of years now and this just started. Any ideas?
