I have a 1975 trojan Tri Cabin with a pair of Chrysler 440's. Engines are rebuilt. Carbs were rebuilt at engine rebuild plus I have had them rebuilt again since due to water in fuel tank. Ever since day one, if the boat sits for more then 3-4 days, I have to crank the engines for a good 4-5 minutes ( in 30 second intervals) to get them to fire. If engines have been fired in last couple of days, no issue, they fire up with minimum cranking. I have installed phenolic spacers on the advice of another Trojan owner to no avail. My thought is the carbs need to be replaced. They are not holding fuel. Anyone here have any other ideas?
