My wife is curious of the best method for maintaning the beautiful Sole and walls and cabinets in our newly aquired 1990 Marine Trader Tradewinds 43 foot motryacht. The prev ious owner swore by Liquid Gold. My wife is nervous about how slippery the floor will become. What do you use?????

Tiara says damp mop and use a mild detergent if need be. Their floors are low gloss varnish.

My wife says she use a liquid non skid wax that she got at one of the local hardware stores for the floor on our Marine Trader. (unknown Brand) I would guess liquid gold would be good for the walls and cabinets.

While Scott's Liquid Gold will work fine on the cabinets, on the floor I would use a good one part polyurethane.

Also, if you ever have to refinish any thing you've put Liquid Gold on you'll need to clean that surface very well so your new finish will not fish eye and/or have problems with adhesion.
