This is a post about everythig I don't know. The boat belongs to a friend. The carpet is new, and done by a local professional, but I don't know what brand it is. It has a very heavy grey, rubber like backing and appears to be great stuff. There is one round stain, but again, I do not know what caused it. Any suggestions on what the first step would be in trying to remove the stain? I am inclined to wet the area down, and spray on some watered down Simple Green, brush it with a nylon brush, and rub the area with a terry cloth towel. Any suggestions?

Use a shop vac to pull out the stain after spraying and brushing some carpet cleaner solution. Do it several times then rinse with plain water. Suck all the water out with the vac

If Bruce's method does not work, try 10 parts hydrogen peroxide and a one part laundry detergent. You will be surprised what happens before your eyes with some stains like red wind, red sauce etc….

Guess I am off to Wally World to become a bottle blonde.
An ironic side note. I know a guy who, at the age of 38 dyed his black hair bright blonde, to attend a wakeboarding event. He met a stunning blonde girl there. She is a head taller than he, and at the time was exactly half his age. Nearly 10 years later, they are still together. Ask him if he thinks blondes have more fun.

I take my snap in carpets home and vacumn and shmapoo just like my home carpeting. In fact I just did this. the carpets look brand new and will be going back on the boat this weekend.
