I noticed when I was at the boat the upper helm port was in gear and the lower helm in neutral. Looks like they mangled the cable gonig from the upper helm to the lower helm when they were putting it away.

Anyway I need to replace it and wanted to make sure I ordered the right one. 16ft is the length written on the cable. Just wondering if the cables listed below are the correct ones (same connections) and if I should order from there. Seems like a reasonable price if those are the correct ones

The CCX633 series Teleflex cables are good quality cables and should be fine for your Carver. I recently installed eight of them on my Silverton and they work as they should.

You might want to check the thread size on the old cable end fittings that you'll be using on your new cables. The Teleflex CCX633 cables have 10-32 threads. If your old cables have 10-28 (or some other)end threads, the CCX633 won't work unless you buy all new end fittings.

If you haven't already removed the damaged cable, don't do so until you get the new one. It makes it a lot easier the pull the new cable in using the old one as a pilot line.

Thanks bill. I will check the threads. Thinking I should order a new cable for the starboard engine as well. Probably do for a new one anyways. Good point I take in you use the existing one to pull the new ones.
