Can someone explain to me how the water tank level gauge system is supposed to work? Mine does not work. The level sensor measures on the order of zero ohms (empty) to maybe 0.15 to 0.2 ohms (full).

The electrical diagram in the manual is pretty high level, but it indicates a connection to the "water monitor" breaker on the dc panel. Nothing is connected to that breaker, however, and there are no apparent stray wires in there.

The wire pair "LW" from the tank level sensor terminates at the gauge, and there's one other wire attached to the gauge as well. Seems like a means of supplying dc power to the system is missing.

Can anyone provide a schematic or a circuit description? Many thanks!

if you post the brand perhaps we can help. Mine never worked for any length of time even after I replaced the probe, a POS IMO

The gauge is a VDO (and it appears to have some electronic components inside beyond the meter movement). I cannot determine who made the level sensor, but it seems to be a typical analog resistive type. Applying 1.5 V to the meter terminals will make the gauge needle go up.

My main issue is that there does not seem to be any source of dc voltage for the circuit, even though the wiring diagram in the manual indicates there is one, to a breaker in the dc panel that has nothing connected to it.
